BUSINESS MENTORING

HiBEAM

HiBEAM provides expert professional advice to selected startups at critical stages of development. Selected companies have access to mentors in the areas of management/leadership, law, marketing/public relations, commercial banking, risk management, accounting, and venture capital funding.


Hawaii SBDC Network

The Hawaii SBDC Network provides support services for small or new businesses through training, free consulting through professional staff and business professionals, business plan assistance, business planning and research, and confidential counseling online.


Small Business Administration

SBA's Hawaii District Office helps small business owners though the many stages of business growth. SBA of Hawaii is part of the US Small Business Administration, whose mission is to aid, counsel, assist, and protect the interests of small business to preserve free enterprise and strengthen the overall economy. SBA provides partial funding for SCORE, SBDC and HWBC.


SCORE

SCORE is a volunteer program which can match experienced business owners with small businesses that need expert advice. SCORE members, with collective experience spanning a wide range of industries, share management through free cofindential counseling sessions. SCORE is a resource partner with the Small Business Administration.


HWBC

HWBC is a young organization working to assist the women in our community in attaining financial self-sufficiency and independence through the development of financial managment skills, career and entrepreneurial development. HWBC provides counseling, training and mentoring programs for specialized industry groups critical to Hawaii's economy.


Women in Technology Project

The Women in Technology Project is funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Labor, and is the first workforce development project of its kind to encourage women and girls into math, science, engineering and technology education and careers.
